Feedback from the Spring 2013 ACCIS Counselor Tour
The Central Pennsylvania Consortium group (Dickinson, Gettysburg and Franklin & Marshall Colleges) offered its second edition of an ACCIS member tour from April 24th through 26th. Twenty-eight counselors from around the country participated. Here are some of their comments about the tour:
"It was a great tour! It was well run with great colleagues. The questions were timely and helpful, and the schools were great hosts."
"It was awesome!"
"All three colleges gave us great opportunity to interact with students while putting us up in the fabulous Hershey Hotel (and yes, there is chocolate check-in, chocolate turn-down, and lots of chocolate in between). I truly enjoyed the individuals on the tour and the tour size, finding the cross-pollination rewarding."
"Easily the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in on a counselor tour, and all three schools were generous hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we walked away with a complete picture of their school. Single occupancy rooms were such a luxury."

Spring 2013 ACCIS Counselor Tour
Central Pennsylvania Consortium Counselor Tour
Wednesday, April 24 – Friday, April 26, 2013
We are excited to offer a college tour exclusively for ACCIS members this spring. ACCIS Counselor Tours give you the opportunity to visit colleges alongside counselors who share similar constituencies and concerns. The Central Pennsylvania Consortium offered one of the first “all-ACCIS” tours in 2011—the tour was such a success that they have offered another visit opportunity to our members. We hope you’ll find added value in a tour in which you can compare notes with other ACCIS members and admissions professionals while learning about what each of these colleges can offer our students.
Please note that space is limited for this event and the deadline is quickly approaching. Log in to the ACCIS website (www.accisnet.org) to register.

Why Attend an ACCIS College Tour?
Here's what one tour attendee says:
"[I]t was the people who made it special. The group was one of the most congenial, interesting groups of people I have ever shared a trip with. Maybe it was the time of year, maybe just the luck of the draw, but I think we all really got along well - no cliques, no outliers, wonderful conversations and fun. I propose a Reunion trip!!! Hot Topics went well -- didn't take much to get folks talking -- again, the time of year made us all ripe for sharing insights and opinions..."
ACCIS college tours give you the opportunity to visit colleges alongside counselors who share similar constituencies and concerns. We’ll spend time with college Deans and administrators in a casual setting, discuss issues of interest to our populations, and learn about student life and admissions processes at a range of colleges.
